A set of cards

Here is a set of  3 1/2" x 3 1/2" cards with co-ordinating envelopes. I used the diagonal plate on the Simply Scored Scoring tool to create the envelopes.  They were so quick and easy to do.  This would be a great to give to a friend as a present, especially if you put them inside the mini pizza box I showed you yesterday.

Supplies:
Card stock: Whisper White
DSP: In colours 2011-2013
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade
Punches: Boho Blossoms,
Stamps: Language of Friendship, Easy Events
Others: Wisteria Wonder & Lucky Limeade markers, Stampin' Up Dimensionals

A simple textured background

I had fun the other day using a friend's Simply Scored Scoring Tool.   I made some interesting patterns on card stock to create some textured backgrounds that I can use on cards.  I also used the diagonal plate to make some envelopes.  Now I would like to buy my own.  They can be used in so many ways.

Here is one of the cards I made using a line pattern in the background created using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.  I am still learning, so if you look carefully enough, one of the spacings is actually a little wider.  Oops!  It is all about learning and having fun.  I will know to be more careful next time!  But I think it still looks okay.

Supplies:
Card stock: Whisper White,Calypso Coral, Island Indigo
Stamps: Easy Events (for the Happy Birthday greeting), Language of Friendship
Ink: Black
Accessories: Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Scalloped edge punch, Twine,
DSP: In colours pattern paper

The current catalogue runs until the end of this month.  Some of the stamp sets and accessories will be retiring so Stampin' Up have a retired list so you know what will not be available from next month.  If there have been some things you have not got around to buying yet, check out these lists.  If it is retiring, now is your last chance to buy it.

A few other important pieces of information:

The Classic Ink Pads are being reconfigured. The ink is still the same (except for five colours that had to be reconfigured); The ink pad surface has been redesigned. They are changing from a felt pad to a foam one.  Better ink coverage means better stamped images!

Here are some other changes:
1) 12x12 textured card stock will no longer be offered.  12x12 smooth card stock will only be available in single colours in select colours; colour collections will still be available.
2) Stampin' Up won't be selling individual markers in all the colours, so if you are missing a few colours in your collection, you can get those this month.
3) Some of the fabric collections are greatly discounted!

If you would like to make a purchase or have any further questions, please contact me at thepalmersangela@gmail.com

By the way, I was very excited to see that one of my cards got picked for the "Weekly Picks" on the New Zealand Stampin' Up blog website.  A first for me - well I have only just started my blog and joined up!

Enjoy the rest of your week.
